Love these headboards - I like the simple lines of the first one. Then you can go a little overboard with the fabric or the bedding.

Totally do a tutorial post because I am planning on doing one myself. I can't wait to see how it turns out! Sorry I have been MIA lately...hopefully this new direction I am going in will cure the blog blues I've got. :)
I love the open space post too - those beams in that first image are to die for!
