These placemats (14x20) would also make great pillows:

And while on the subject of DIY pillows- I made one this weekend out of these placemats that I found at At Home here in Birmingham. The jute goes great with my bedskirt in my master bedroom.

While on the same shopping trip I found these cute, white ruffle napkins for $6 each. I bought two and am going to make a pillow for my club chair in my living room. The white is too stark so I am thinking of dying them. Has anyone ever experimented with this? I would love any advice.

Those really would make pretty pillows, I love the first one. I have not dyed anything yet...you will have to let me know how that goes...
Love the flavia gray and Big Cata Green!
I can't wait to see them! I saw the placemat at At Home the other day and thought of you:)
I love those napkins- I clicked on that link but it said they were $30...where did you find them for $6? I'd love to get some of those! I have seen people dye things using tea bags to give it a khaki/light brown color- it seemed pretty easy!

Stephanie- I found the ruffle ones at At Home in Birmingham. They were sold individually- but the link on my post they are $30 for 4 napkins (from Burke decor). You could probably google them (they are by India Rose) to see if you could find somewhere that sells them individually.
The green and the turquoise are my favorites....
love the burlap pillow also...what color do you want to dye the white napkins? Gracie and I had
a nice weekend! How about ya'll?
i love the Flavia Grey and Navy.
Yes, I dye things all the time. Ha Ha yeah right.
I love that idea- I am always looking for fun fabrics to make pillows out of.
These are great, the ones I would make if I had the time! Thank goodness I can just buy them!
too creative!! great ideas...and show us that pillow!
once again you are making me want to learn to sew!
Wow! I love your projects. The table cloth/napkin fabrics are terrific. You've got my wheels a turning! Many thanks.
I love this idea! I'm taking my first sewing class in two weeks, and I would love to give this idea a try. I adore that first green napkin, it's such a fun and vibrant print.
I love that Flavia Grey one! If I were not married I would totally have a pink and grey apartment {or paint a dining room Tiffany's blue...I've always wanted to do that}
I love the kelly green ones! Also really love the ruffles... can't wait to see the pictures of the pillows when you make them--so cute!
I love using napkins to make pillows. I've done it for awhile now. Especially when it's a room on a tight budget.
I love all the options you showed. I love the placemats you used in your bedroom. So pretty and those white ruffle napkins look amazing. I love anything with a ruffle.
I've never dyed anything before. Let me know how it goes. What color do you want to dye it?
Jon dyed a jacket for a hallween costume. The only thing I remember is that it didn't come out as dark as the color looked on the bottle.
I've been waiting for that web site to be up and running. thanks for the heads up!
Great idea...the colors and patterns are fantastic!!
That would be great! Though my DIY skills are so sub par
I love Roberta Roller Rabbit! I just mentioned her floor cushions on my blog last week! I love all the different patterns! Thanks for posting about her website! I have been waiting for them to have an online store! Can't wait to see what you make!
I love each of the prints you showed, and I can't wait to see the outcome of some of your projects-- the ruffle napkins are adorable (and the only dyeing of fabric I have really done is with coffee and tea, which worked well- just took some trial and error to get the shade I wanted. Well and there was also some tie-dye done back when I was in high school!)
Now that is an awesomely creative idea!
