Tracery Interiors (has done it again!)

7.17.2009

If you have read my blog before you are probably aware of the fact that I am a big fan of the work done by Tracery Interiors. And here is a house that shows why. Word on the street was that they designed the 2009 Texas Idea House for Southern Living. I had seen a sneak peek here and there--- but my new issue of Southern Living arrived yesterday. My husband picked me up from work so we could get on the road to head to Mississippi for a couple of days and he had the new magazine sitting in the front seat of my car. I grabbed it and started looking through it while he was saying, "You're going to get sick. Put that down." He knows that I cannot read (or even look at pictures) in the car because it makes me car sick. But I was willing to take the risk to check this house out.

There are a lot of photos and I'm going to post them all. I could say a lot about this house- but I will let the photos speak for themselves. You can go here to read about it (rather than read what I have to say). The house is just plain fabulous... definitely going into my forever file. Great work, Tracery!

ohhhh the yellow and gray..I've had an ADDICTED to this color combo for months, I JUST blogged about it. And got your comment about etsy, I haven't bought anything yet either but I'm considering my mothers vintage spoon necklace, she just had a boutique in Naples stock her necklaces! While she was on vacation, I guess mixing business with pleasure can be a good thing!!

Wow, I am so impressed... where to even begin? I love the fresh colors (and i really love the combo of grey and yellow togehter), I love the kids' beds, the open layout, the gorgeous bathtub... and am really intrigued by the backsplash in the kitchen--is that glass over a textured wall? I can't tell. In any case, thanks so much for sharing!

Oooo! I get a sick when reading in the car, but I would have risked it as well! Thanks for posting; these are going to be saved. I think my favorite spot is the dining area; it looks like a great gathering space. What looks to be a sleeping loft is my second favorite. And the aged mirror backspash and yellow barn door are great details!
