Orange Crush

9.10.2009

While I love a neutral color palette--- I do like pops of color here and there. And lately I've had a crush on orange. I especially like it when it's paired with turquoise. Maybe I should say that I have a crush on citrus colors because I've been liking corals and yellows as well. But I still cannot stand red. It's my least favorite color. Ever.

This is so weird because my post today started on the color orange but it went a different way! Great minds! Love those hanging beds...

Same here. I have done two posts on orange lately and I have never really used orange but i love it. I love these pictures. Especially those orange shams.

i am definitely obsessed with coral right now. I hate red too. I don't have a single red thing in my house. Don't wear it either!

you and Marianne are on the same wavelength today. I love that dining area at the bottom -- couldn't pull it off in my house without being accused of doing it because of a certain sports team. bummer!

That second picture with the loft is to die for! But, I have to say I loooove a lot of these rooms, the hanging beds, the mint and orange combo, love it! My current living room is tangerine, and I really want to repaint it something more subdued, but I like the idea of keeping a few pops of orange around :-)

Orange happens to be one of my favorite colors for interiors as well as fashions accesories. I swear I'm going to get my hands on an orange birking bag one day. I love all of the pics.

Love orange so I was super excited to see both my favorite ladies ( you and marianne) were featuring it!

I think I have a touch of orange in almost every room in my house!

I seriously have every single one of those pictures saved on my computer or torn out of a magazine. All but the first one (which I love just as much!)
What can I say? I like your taste!

I never knew that orange and blue combination would look so fabulous. Orange, in particular, is stunning and its not something I would have noticed if those awesome pics had not been featured.

I've linked this post among my Top 3 reccos for other readers to read.

Beautiful examples of how a bit of orange can go a long way and make a tremendous impact. I especially love the image with the two rope beds, fantastic!

I have an orange room, and it truly makes me smile just walking by. Love that large piece of wood (assuming it's driftwood) leaning in the corner. Would love to find something like that!

I had an orange dining room for 10 years - then last fall I could not stand it one more minute and I painted it neutral. But, I still kept my apricot colored silk curtains because I love that little pop of color. I need to do a post on my dining room, the 'before' version is one hot mess, as they say - orange walls, the 1980s builder brass chandelier. It is so much better now!
