New Purchase

1.11.2010

I bought myself a present. Well, actually I saved my birthday and Christmas money to buy myself something that I needed. Our 5 year old desktop just wasn't cutting it so I purchased a new laptop. Our desktop was slow--- too slow to run Illustrator and Photoshop, which I use daily.

So I've been looking online for a bag to carry my laptop in. It won't leave the house often--- but it might occasionally.

I love this one from Canvas. Orange or Navy?

Since I constantly have baby on the brain... it might work as a diaper bag. I want a cute bag... not an actual diaper bag. I would love to hear what you use/have used.
Sorry for the short post. I'm on my way out of the door headed to Atlanta for a day of shopping. First stop: IKEA.

love this idea for a diaper bag. I personally only use then for the first few months then switch to carrying diapers in my purse. A multi use bag is the way for me. you may just want to get a separate changing bag to throw in.

I love this bag in orange. I'm all about the bright & cheery colors these days. I think this bag would make a great beach tote as well as a diaper bag.

I love both. I would grav more to navy- unless you wear black a lot. I just bought my new baby diaper bag like two days ago. I got one that was by eddie bauer which looks just like the cute canvas bags from Pottery Barn kids- only this one was 1/3 the price. It's super big but I wanted a huge one to leave in the car with all my supplies and then I am going to find a smaller bag to keep inside that I can throw in my purse with a bottle, change of clothes, diaper kit and paci.

I agree on the diaper bag not looking like a diaper bag. And will probably end up doing what Paula did, just combining my purse and diaper bag. I've watched too many women struggle with their arms full of "stuff!" Oh, and I love it in orange!

Hmm....I vote orange!
I bought a leather Storksak when my toddler was a newborn - despite having been given a Vera what'shername? bag. I wanted something that would at least have the semblance of a "real" purse, not a diaper bag. It was pricey, but I'm STILL using it 2 years later. I've gotten tons of compliments on the looks, and it's only gotten better looking with age.

I love the orange but I think you would like the navy more. Atlanta without me!!!!! I hope you have fun!

I have a 2 1/2 year old and used the Gigi Chocolate Storksak with her. It held up amazingly well and does not scream DIAPER BAG. She came to the office every day for a year and went on numerous client site visits and I always felt professional carrying it around. I now use it to hold my laptop to and from office.

I like it for a diaper bag. I don't know if it would be sturdy enough for your laptop. I love the orange one.

Cute! Love it! And eventually, a beach bag? Every girl needs plenty of bags! I would maybe get a laptop case and then you can throw it in any cute bag!

orange! i am still undecided on a diaper bag...poor baby will most likely leave the hospital with me carrying the freebie we got from the childbirth classes ;( i do wonder how well the canvas would hold up to cleaning..is it washable?

Orange...it's a great bag and a great price. My go to bags are Vera Bradley's "Messenger Bags" for my laptop, journals, notebooks, etc. They are wonderful...but the price is much higher...but I just cannot live without the pockets in VB's bags :} Here's a link with some on sale, enjoy!
