New Fabric Crush = New Pillows?

3.31.2010

A friend and I made an Ikea run on Friday to Atlanta to pick up a few things. We also ran by Lewis and Sheron to see if they had anything new in stock.
.
I saw this fabric and snapped a photo with my phone. This is the green/white colorway--- but as I moved along in the store I found it in a white/gray combo and a white/khaki-ish combo. Did you know that I like neutrals? Ha.
.
I started thinking- where could I use this? It's only $19.98/yd... so surely I could come up with a small project to use it on?
.
And then I saw these pillows in the latest issue of Traditional Home.
.

While I don't need new pillows--- sometimes I just can't resist a $20 project that will change things up a bit and make a big difference (to me).

Have you tackled a small project lately that makes a big difference in your home--- even though it might not have been necessary?

That fabric is fab. Could see it as a great cornice board too! I would also wear it in skirt form.

Did you see the wing back chairs on my blog the other day?

We did a pair for a client in this fabric.

So amazing.

Can't wait to see where you use it.

Great patterns, and such a great way to make a difference with little work. Love it!

I just purchased ikea fabric and made floor to ceiling drapes for my office. It made the room come alive with their fun print & colors. It's amazing when something easy to do, can make such an impact.

Happy Easter to you x

I'm re-doing my kitchen chairs, off with the old fabric and on with the new. The corners are killing me though!

Blessings for a wonderful Easter!

I just found you through Little Green Notebook. I just bought that fabric, too! I got the chocolate brown colorway. I scored a great pair of arm chairs on Craigs List and now I'm refinishing them in a chocolate brown paint and then upholstering in that fabric. So, as I have seen enough of your blog to know you have great taste, I'll ask you this.....what fabric would you use for accent pillows with it? My chair cushions will be piped in chocolate brown, and I have a small settee covered with a gorgeous antique suzani - in chocolate brown, persimmon and black. Any ideas?
