Neutrals Are Crisp

6.28.2010

I have seen the work of this firm published before here and there- but a friend recently sent me their website (after my post on cedar shakes). I don't guess that I realized that Bates Corkern Studio is located here in Birmingham.
.
Continuing from my last post--- a little more black and white. A crisp, neutral palette with a dash of purple in this Birmingham home (who belongs/ed to Birmingham designer Betsy Brown).

Oh Besty Brown! I've been in her house quite a few times when I worked for Wildflower Designs in Bham. It is SO pretty! I love her work. The shower you showed? Well, I spent 2.5 hours in there once stringing red rose petals on fishing line...as if they wer streaming out of the shower head and puddled at the bottom. It was for the Christmas tour of homes.
