One fun note--- I have many childhood memories from playing at this house. They have a daughter that's my age and we were friends growing up. The house has been in their family for two generations and they are excited that it's now going to be a part of my family.

The house is both grand and charming. I love it! We moved into our house 9 months ago and my wheels turn every night as we slowly make it our own. We call it the 10-year project ;)

Hi! I've just recently found your blog and love it! I actually wanted to ask you how you like Birmingham. My husband and I are thinking of moving to the area in the next year or so and I was hoping to get some info from you on what it's like to live there. In particular, what are the best areas around Birmingham to live if you're just starting a family? What is the weather like during the year? Is there good shopping? Any information you could give would be so helpful :)

Beautiful. I am from Mississippi. I did not grow up in Jackson, but am somewhat familiar with the area. The house looks like something in Eastover or I can't think of the other area across I-55 near the hospitals. I do love established neighborhoods with great houses and yards!
