Living Large (in a little house)
9.17.2010
I've been wanting to post this house ever since I saw it in the new Country Living. I think it's such a neat space- especially for a young, single (hence the pink) designer. While I love my life... I did allow myself to daydream and think that if I was single and lived on my own- that I might decorate a house something like this! As for my house... I will honor my husband's #1 request: no pink.

I saw this home too and was shocked to see soooo much pink. I rather liked it though, and like what she did with her home. I don't think my husband would appreciate pink anywhere else but my daughters room... maybe I should test him and find ways to incorporate pink a bit more. :)
I LOVE them all! Beautiful!
I love, love all of the antiqued gold in all of these rooms!
This house is beautiful. I love the color scheme, although if I was on my own, I would have to squeeze some purple in!
Love the use of the basement for the DR/Cellar...oh how we lived before children, LOL! If our wine cellar didn't have a lock on it there would be a very expensive pool of wine in our basement.
And here I am with 4 bedrooms and not enough space! I love it when people make good use of rooms!
Yes, this is so cute and girly. I have sadly also thought about what my house would look like if I were single, ha. Not so much pink but probably less comfortable furniture!
What a spectacular home.. I love it! xx
yes please! I'm loving all the pink accents. So chic!
Love the pink! If only the Husband did too. *sigh*

Love pink, but my husband would say no as well! Did you see the pink bachelorette's apartment that EOS did? So fab...
Oh yes, I saw that in their recent issue. I thought the wine cellar idea was really unique and creative. Certainly not your typical 'storage' style basement!
Happy weekend to you!

I wonder how different my house would look if I were single! Love everything in her house!!
oh wow I love, love, love that. did y'all get the house??? we are excited about the potential move :)
Oh man, I am addicted to Country Living. And I always get a ton of crap from my friends about it. BUT- this room PROVES Country Living has great style-and not all "country" style. I loved this room too!! I love all the dark walls. And the tips for small space living.
I went nuts for this when I saw it! This home is so romantic, dreamy and warm. Her kitchen is my favorite. Julie
I daydreamed a bit too. Only if I were single would this actually happen.
Me too! I felt guilty but, thought how fun it would be to have all that space to myself with the pink and gold accents. I am glad I am not the only one. :-)

I too oooed and ahhed over this gorgeous space when I got my recent copy of Country Living. My husband would never live in all those "pretty" rooms, but it sure is fun to dream about!
I saw this and agreed, so beautiful....ah our own space to decorate....LOTS of pink for me! For now my home is all done in black and white and I add my own pink with ROSES!
I just found your blog and love the ideas and images that you post. We're in the process of building a home and I'm always looking for inspiration! With three kids and twins on the way blogging has become a huge inspiration as we design...
Blessings.

I am going to have to check out Country Living this month! I am in LOVE with this house from just these few photos. Lucky for me I live alone so can have all the pink I want (and I def. take advantage of the girlie colors). Love the wine/dinning idea.
I love all these photos, especially the last one. i now see that i'm part of your inspiration list. that really made my day. :) you inspire me A LOT! Thanks for that, Brooke! So glad you call you my blog and in real life friend!
oh i adore this! i too couldn't get away with (that much) pink in my house but it is lovely. and her wine cellar/dining room basement - genius! i think i might have to pick up a copy of this issue. thanks for sharing.
I saw this in Country Living and couldn't get it off my mind...I absolutely love the dining room table in the basement/wine cellar, the many chandeliers, and the peacock on top of the fridge!
