1. Making pumpkin bread. And resisting the urge to cut out the center piece like I did here. I've tried two recipes (one on the link above and one listed below). The one below is my favorite:
..
Pumpkin Bread
3.5 c flour
3 c sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1.5 tsp salt
4 eggs
2/3 c water
1 c oil
1 can pumpkin
3 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp ginger
.
Combine dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
2. I've also been cleaning the house while listening to Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. Love her music.
.
3. Looking at fall images and wanting to bring some of the outdoors in. Paula's images below have inspired me:
4. Speaking of outdoors--- I am currently waiting for the yard man to arrive. I say 'the' and not 'my' because it's a first time thing. I hope that Michael doesn't mind. I am thinking of it as a treat for him. He's been so busy and hasn't had time for the yard and with the little one here--- I don't have much time for it either. And if he does mind--- I will just remind myself that sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!

mmmmm, pumpkin bread sounds amazing right about now. Wish I lived closer because I would be coming over to your place right about now :)
Yummy!!! I bet it would be delish with nuts or chocolate chips added! Sounds like a perfect fall treat!
OH my goodness, I am on a pumpkin bread kick too... but the raw vegan kind. Fall is not the best time to do a raw food cleanse, ha ha!
Oh I would LOVE a yard man! Thanks for the recipe!
I would like a yard man and a handy man! Mostly because I want to give my husband Mike a break as our 'to do' list is never-ending!
Pumpkin bread sounds yummy.

Think I may need to try the pumpkin bread for tomorrow! I am suppose to be cleaning house. Still hasnt happened yet :(
Oh yeah that bread sounds good. Just in time for this cooler weather. And such a good music pick - my hubs has a crush on her, but I don't mind :)
Oh, he will probably love the yard man. I know they have so much pride in "their" yards, but they need help sometimes just like we do!
yummy pumpkin bread! The closest I come is a pumpkin spice latte.
You crack me up! I want to get a maid and ask for forgiveness. Every time I say I am going to get one my husband volunteers to clean something to make out like we don't need help. And we probably don't. I just hate, hate, hate cleaning! But I know I could do better
So what happened with the yard guy???
I know this is late but I made this recipe a few weeks ago and it was delish! Making it Tuesday for my pre-schooler's thanksgiving feast. Thanks for sharing.
