I saw this on Elements of Style last week and loved the idea. The inspiration below came from West Elm:

You could pick up an Ikea Ribba Frame, some matte board cut to the frame size in your color of choice, and one of these beautiful papers below:

I recently bought two pieces of the last paper to put in our master bedroom :) I'll definitely share the afters!
