the planner

12.27.2011

It's that time of year. New calendars and planners. Even though I do own an iphone... I do not use it for keeping up with appointments, birthdays, etc. I am a paper calendar kind of girl.

For the past two years I have received this planner for Christmas from Paper-Source which I have really enjoyed:

Tonight while playing on Facebook one of my college friends asked in her status update what planners people recommend. I was blown away that almost EVERYONE responded (over 20 people) with the Erin Condren Life Planner. While I have heard of Erin and her work before... I wasn't familiar with her line of planners. The comments made me want to order one ASAP even though I have a brand new P-S one sitting on my desk!

Do any of you have a life planner by Erin Condren? Would love to hear your thoughts!

I'm right there with ya. I have an iphone, but much prefer my old school planner. Maybe it goes back to days of highlighting and writing special events in bubble letters in my agenda when I was younger. So, now I'm off to check these out. Hope you had a great xmas & can't wait to meet that baby soon … xo

Have a life planner. Love it. My only complaint is they are BIG and the tabs on them are not coated so they peel and fray. Although I heard the 2012 version has a coating on them to keep that from happening.

Plum District (and Groupon like sites) are always running deals on Erin Condren stuff where you buy $25 and get $25 free. The life planner is around $50 so it's worth it to wait if you can.

With Plum District if you refer three people you get your purchase for free, so my life planner cost me zip, zero, zilch. And I love it that much more as a result.

I got one about 2 months ago and love. It is big so definitely not very portable without some commitment to lugging some weight. My tabs weren't coated so I out some tape on it and it's holding up okay. For $50 it is a commitment, so check out sites mentioned above.

hmm, sounds nice. i swear by a moleskine planner, and it's only about $20.
glad to know so many other people are sticking with paper!

I got a Erin Condren planner for Christmas so I haven't filled it out yet but it is perfect. I love the larger size to make sure every detail fits and the blank pages are great for me since I seem to always forget things:)

I change planner brands every year because I can' seem to find the perfect one but this one is great!

How did I not know about the Erin Condren planner? It seems a bit pricey for me, but I'm sure it's worth every penny. Might need to explore that one this year. Thanks for letting me know about this one :)

I've used a Lilly Pulitzer planner for years but my sister got an Erin Condren this year and she is obssesed with it and trying to get me to convert- I must admit it really is as great as people say it is but there isn't a lot of room to write on each day which is what I need- I need room to make to-do lists!

I really liked my Sarah Pinto planners for years. Now I'm onto the Mom Agenda. Good for now - will be great when the kiddos are in all different directions w/ school & activities.

I have the Erin Condren life planner and really like it too! It is pretty big and I wish the tabs were coated, but it seems to have a place for everything. And I think $50 is kind of high for it, but you can almost always find a coupon for $25 off. Honestly, I think for 2013 I'll look for something a little more "tote around" friendly.

I ordered one after seeing Jens on ihe. artorganizing.com and I used a plum district coupon so it was half off. I did the collage of family photos and my gf's noticed it sitting on my counter and loved it so much they all ordered one. I have to say it's beautiful but I am not used to it yet. It's big so I can't tote around so my new years resolution is to try and stay organized between this and my iPhone. I do like the option of having a morning noon and night tab for each day. Since it's big I keep it on my kitchen counter so I like that it's pretty and I can leave it out. I had just ordered mine in dec and tabs are paper so not sure if the new new ones will be coated. Def nice if you plan on keeping it at home but if you want one to throw in your purse this is not the one.
