happy wednesday!

7.25.2012

I was talking last night with a friend about how Pinterest and Instagram have kind of killed blogs... in a way. There are only so many hours in a day and when you have to pick and choose what to spend your free time on.... it seems that Pinterest and Instagram are winners for me.

Speaking of Pinterest... I recently came across this nursery. I love so many things about it and it has inspired me to finish up the few loose ends in my boys' rooms upstairs!

Are you familiar with Amy Meier? I follow her on instagram and love seeing bits of her day and what she's working on. This powder bath caught my attention and I can't get enough of it.

I came across this recently... and you know that something must have caught your attention when you realize that you have pinned it three times to the same board. While I LOVE summertime... these have me daydreaming about fall.

I can't believe that summer is almost over. Collins will start back going to Mother's Morning Out... and hopefully I can find some time to blog and show you what's been inspiring me and a few things that I've gotten done around here.

I saw that nursery on Caitlin's blog yesterday and fell in love! And I totally hear you about Pinterest and Instagram. I follow you on Instagram and love seeing your updates there!

Agree with you 1000%, my blog is on the back burner, has been for a while, but Pinterest and Instagram...daily activity for me still. I am not sure if it is due to my crazy schedule or what, maybe my priorities have shifted when it comes to blogging? Is all I know is I am a happy camper for connecting with so many via blogs...not lets pick up our email chats again!! xx

I hear you on the Pinterest/Instagram = not as much interest in blogging. I need to follow Amy on Instagram- that bathroom is ah-maaazing!

I'm totally with you on the Pinterest and Instagram deal too. I feel like everything I Instagram, I end up blogging about and that gets repetitive! Always love catching up with your blog though!

I love your blog (and follow your boards too) but I have my fingers crossed that you don't stop blogging. I understand you have limited time and might but I hope you don't. ;-)

Nothing will replace blogging for me because I enjoy reading the story/inspiration behind something, but pinterest/instagram is definitely a quick fix visually. p.s. LOVE that powder room too, thank you for linking the designer!

I am so there! Its a little sad but at the same time I love finding inspiration without the huge time commitment a blog can be. However, I still love my blog reading and I'm sensing (or maybe hoping for?) a resurgence of blog writing once the fall comes around ;)

Well, when you do write, I am glad when I get to be quoted :) Instagram is just so much easier to get a quick fix of visual inspiration without lots of reading and visiting different sites/using a Reader and it's much quicker and more interactive for me. I get tired when I think about starting another blog!

In other news, really love the tile and wallcovering in the second pic.

I agree but I still love reading blogs! I have a good list I check every few days b/c sometimes I feel like everyone is pinning the same stuff! I LOVE your labels....are you selling them as custom ones? I would pay! :)

I do love pinterest. Even on the days I don't have the opportunity to read blogs I am on it. I finally am on instagram too. I still love blogging and love reading blogs, but it does take a lot of time.

I am drooling over those pumpkin donuts, I am so ready for fall.

Totally agree. Instagram is just so much easier than blogging.

I love your pics on Instagram! Your boys are precious. :)

I think that there will always be people reading blogs though because blogs are more personal. Blogs are my of a dairy of your life then anything else.
